The River Bandits are back in the postseason for the first time since the 2007 season and fans can lock-in their tickets to see exciting Midwest League playoff baseball in the Quad Cities right now.
Officials with Meridian Entertainment, Blue Cap and Modern Woodmen Park have announced that an unexpected scheduling conflict has forced the Alice Cooper and Buckcherry Rock Of Ages concert on September 2 to be canceled. This concert was to have been each artists' only 2010 appearance in the Quad Cities.
Kids will have a new place to pick-up their concessions at River Bandits games with the addition of the new Kids 'N KARS Concession Stand located in the right field party plaza near the new playground and the Genesis Healthy Kids Zone.
A pair of Bandit pitching prospects were honored for their recent performances on Monday. Shelby Miller received his recognition from the Cardinals by getting named the organization's Pitcher of the Month for July, and Joe Kelly was awarded Pitcher of the Week by the Midwest League.
The Quad Cities will be seeing stars in the summer of 2011, when the Midwest League All-Star Game returns to Modern Woodmen Park and the River Bandits play host to the Midsummer Classic.
